Los Angeles based expert author Gunjan Bagla has more than 25 years experience in global sourcing and marketing in India. He is highly in demand as a management consultant for leading global corporations to share his secrets on how to succeed in India.
Gunjan Bagla is founder and principal of Amritt Inc. in Los Angeles which serves clients in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe in marketing to India, buying from India, hiring in India and starting and running Indian operations. Amritt’s clients include both large and emerging corporations in the West from a number of industries including many Fortune 500 Corporations.
Bagla also teaches workshops and seminars for executives on how to become more successful in India, including a seminar offered three times a year by the California Institute of Technology, Caltech. He writes and speaks on globalization and India frequently. Bagla’s writings have appeared in CIO Magazine, Daily Variety, Businessworld, Dataquest, India Journal and he has been quoted in major media outlets such as the Los Angeles Times. He also publishes an electronic newsletter called Globalization Is Great with a circulation of 20,000 professionals.
Prior to starting Amritt, Bagla worked at both Indian and American companies with management responsibilities in marketing, sales, sourcing, manufacturing, and engineering. He also was a software entrepreneur. Bagla earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and earned an MBA with honors from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL. He lives in southern California with wife Smita, and children, Avi and Anshika.

As a child, Jim Corbett and his tales of hunting in the Himalayas. Corbett was an Englishman who loved India. A national park is name after him.
Also my father, Dr. Sita Ram Bagla, was a geographer and a prolific writer of academic books. From observing him I knew that writing was a lonely and demanding vocation.
