Jason Miccolo Johnson, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, and a Howard University alumnus, is the recipient of the 2000 Photographer of the Year Award from the Exposure Group professional photographers association. He has been the African Methodist Episcopal Church's official general conference photographer for the past twenty-five years. In 2003, Johnson was honored by the HistoryMakers with the ArtMaker Award.
