Kathleen Turner won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for Prizzi's Honor and Romancing the Stone, and was nominated for The War of the Roses, Peggy Sue Got Married, and Body Heat. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for Peggy Sue Got Married. On Broadway she received Tony Award nominations for Best Actress for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, which also garnered her the London Evening Standard Award for Best Actress and the London Critics Award.
