Located in Lebanon, Indiana, the Hachette Book Group Distribution Center has been designed with the express purpose of maximizing our clients' business via the latest distribution technologies and operating procedures. We are continually refining our distribution functions to emphasize accuracy, quality and efficiency. Combined with an unparalleled returns processing system and cost-saving inventory services, our clients are well-equipped to send their titles across the globe.

Inventory Management
Our precise and up-to-date inventory information is achieved by an accuracy rate of 99.87% in our Distribution Center, and our continuous cycle count process insures every location is counted at least twice a year. Hachette Book Group assists our clients in transferring much-needed inventory back into usable stock as quickly as possible by offering single title sorting and fast, on-premises refurbishment. We can also sell-off excess inventory through our overstock and remainder programs, sell assorted (hurt) pallets, and even destroy stock on-site (guaranteeing proper disposal).

IT and Reporting
Hachette Book Group offers a wide array of information solutions for our distribution client business. A state of the art Business Intelligence system provides a powerful tool for analyzing and integrating POS data, shipment information, and inventory numbers. For customer interfacing, we subscribe to every major electronic ordering system package (EDI, Pubnet, Pubeasy, Direct Dial, etc.), with customized solutions for each customer's specifications. For bibliographic information, we provide electronic ONIX product catalogs to all major trading partners.

A note about security
The security of our clients' information is our top priority. Our systems employ a two-tiered "lockdown" of each publisher's data: no client is able to access another client's information, and levels of access are implemented within each publisher's system, allowing the clients themselves to decide which individuals have access to key data.
